Conference Preview, Tuesday Highlights
By stephen.fox on Oct 12, 2009
Another Eclectic MixWe've got a not-to-miss keynote, some sidewalk action, and a shout-out to our fellow bloggers:
Business first. Don't miss Thomas Kurian's keynotefollowed by Michael Dell, CEO of Dell. Kurian, Oracle's Executive VP of Product Development, can always be counted on for showing the latest innovations in our applications, middleware, and database—the stuff you haven't seen yet—and explaining what they can do for you. Tuesday morning's keynote begins at 8:30 a.m.
BMW ORACLE Racing is back on the water, and gearing up for the 33rd America's Cup. But you can see a scale replica right on the sidewalk outside the show at 4th and Howard Streets. Take this chance to meet team members, score an autograph, and sail away with some souvenirs.
For all our fellow bloggers at Oracle OpenWorld this year, we're hoping you'll head to the now-annual Oracle Bloggers Meetup. We're getting together Tuesday at 6 p.m. Please take note of the venue change. We'll be on the 2nd floor of the Metreon—to keep us warm and dry—instead of Jillian's as previously reported. Get more details and RSVP on Oracle Community.
