Center of the Partner Universe

Don't miss the Oracle PartnerNetwork Forum

By Claudia McDonald

Did you know the ancient Roman Forum was once considered to be the center of the universe? Well, we would like you to join us at the Oracle PartnerNetwork Forum, the center of the Oracle OpenWorld universe for Oracle partners. Mark your calendars and join us Sunday, October 2, 2011, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

During the Forum, you’ll learn about plans and strategies of attack directly from Oracle “senators,” network with other “gladiators” (or lions, depending on your preference), and gain valuable insight about survival in specialized breakout sessions geared to help you thrive inside and outside the Forum; no sparring nor bloodshed permitted. Check the schedule and agenda.

Best of all, the Oracle PartnerNetwork Forum is a free event open to all registeredpartners of Oracle OpenWorld. We will have special interest groups—Java, Fusion, and Exastack, to name just a few—followed by a partner bacchanal (actually, it’s just lunch).

The Oracle PartnerNetwork Forum Global General Session, hosted by Judson Althoff, senior vice president, Worldwide Alliances and Channels and Embedded Sales, Oracle, and other battle sessions are all listed on the agenda. See you Sunday at the Forum.

Don't follow the parallel too closely. The Roman Empire eventually disintegrated.

Of course, it took several hundred years for that to happen. If Oracle Corporation can last for several hundred years, that would be outstanding.

Really nice comparison:
Roman Forum - a legendary place where important decisions were taken. OPN Forum - the center of discussion for all Oracle partners.
