JavaOne4Kids: The Next Generation of Programmers

Twenty-four hours before business and technology professionals begin to swarm the Moscone Center, a different--and much younger--set of technologists will be filling the session room seats. JavaOne4Kids, which kicks off Saturday morning, October 24 at 9 a.m, is an all-day programming workshop targeted at children 10 to 18 years old. 

JavaOne4Kids is focused on promoting technology to kids who want to learn more about programming, robotics, and engineering. Sponsored by Target, Oracle Academy and Devoxx4Kid, the content catalog includes topics such as Greenfoot, Alice, Minecraft Modding, Python, Scratch, Raspberry Pi, Arduino, NAO Robot, Lego Mindstorms, and, of course, Java.
