Spend a night with Norma, Pippin, or Snow White.
Yes, Oracle OpenWorld is a must-attend technology event, where one can learn about Oracle and partner solutions to enhance business. Another great reason to attend? To visit the massive, sold-out Exhibition Halls for tchotchkes and booth fun.
Here's a recap of all the great goodies and giveaways. And in the meantime, get ready for next year's goodies & giveaways: Register for Oracle OpenWorld 2012.
Airplanes. Cars. Clothing. Computers. Oceans. Phones. Come mingle with the crowds in the upper north lobby of Moscone Center, where you’ll find Oracle OpenWorld’s unique Retail Row.
Now that’s something one doesn’t see every day! A full-size, 45-foot, 2,910-pound catamaran in the lobby of a convention center. But the boat is there, in Moscone West at Oracle OpenWorld, as part of the ORACLE Racing and America’s Cup Extreme Experience.
It's a Wrap! brings Berlin to Yerba Buena Gardens Thursday, October 6, from 4 to 7 p.m. where iconic rock vocalist Terri Nunn and the rest of the California-native band bring this year's Oracle OpenWorld to a rousing, have-to-dance close.
See Two Legendary Trophies in One Place at One Time
Oracle is a supporter of both the America's Cup-winning ORACLE Racing team as well as the World Series champion San Francisco Giants. And this year we're privileged to have on display both of their fabled trophies at Oracle OpenWorld.
Come to the My Oracle Support Community Meet Up
Have you ever wanted to meet some of your fellow My Oracle Support Community members in person? Has someone ever helped you out when you were in a pinch? Have you ever thought, I owe that guy a beer? Well, you’re in luck.
Take a break from Oracle OpenWorld at the second-annual My Oracle Support Community Meet Up. This community-members-only event will be held on Monday, October 3, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Join us for complimentary drinks and appetizers, brewery tours, beer tastings, and Vegas-style game tables. But most importantly, join us for the opportunity to meet other online community members and Oracle moderators face to face.
This event is free, but you must first visit the Oracle Support Stars Bar (Moscone West, Lobby Level 2) and pick up your entry pass. The Oracle Support Stars Bar is open on Sunday, October 2, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. and on Monday, October 3, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Stop by, have fun, and establish some lifelong friendships. We’ll provide everything else. In the meantime, learn more about the My Oracle Support Community Meet Up and about Oracle Customer Services at Oracle OpenWorld.
Attendees Enjoy Live Music, Sunshine, and Piles of Good Eats
The attendees may have been tired from a week of seeing, learning, and meeting. They may have been over saturated with technical info. Loaded down with swag. Ready to get on home. But they still showed up to close out Oracle OpenWorld 2010 at the "It's a Wrap" event on Thursday in Yerba Buena Gardens.
There was plenty of good ol' Rock 'n' Roll, with Oracle's own Tom Geck fronting the band.
"We're going to try and play one song from each of the (Appreciation Event) bands," said Tom.
And while the crowd called out for "Fergalicious," he offered up "The Joker" by Steve Miller.
That was close enough. Some people danced while others helped themselves to piles of hot dogs, tacos, salads and wraps, candy and cookies, and lots of cold beer courtesy event sponsor Tsing Tao.
The crowd grew. The food diminished. Then slowly, the crowd diminished until only the waiters and caterers were left to clean up.
And so, on the kind of warm, lovely day that has eluded San Francisco all summer, Oracle OpenWorld 2010 came to a close.
