Excitement Builds for HCM Central @ OpenWorld 2015

OpenWorld, Oracle’s flagship customer event, is fast approaching, and with so many organizations moving their HR systems to the cloud, HCM Central @ OpenWorld is sure to draw significant interest from attendees.

Whether you’re considering a full HR suite cloud implementation or plan to move to the cloud in phases, this is the event to hear firsthand how Oracle HCM Cloud and its next-generation architecture are helping customers transform their HR functions.

Here are some highlights that attendees can expect.

Customer Stories

Hear from customers that are finding proven business value from their Oracle HCM Cloud solutions. Here’s just a sampling of these sessions:

  • Schneider Electric―Leveraging Oracle HCM to Accelerate a Cultural Shift in Talent Management (CON9074)
  • Overhead Door Corporation―Exchanging Data with Your Providers (CON8995)
  • Telecom Italia―The Path to HR Transformation (CON8999)

Digital Learning Disruption

Today, employees expect the same capabilities at work that they get in the consumer world. At HCM World in March 2015, Oracle introduced Oracle Learning Cloud. It creates a new standard in enterprise learning and reflects changing user preferences as digital natives join the workforce. To learn more, check out these sessions:

  • Oracle Learning Cloud: Charting the Future of Enterprise LMS (CON8009)
  • HCM Product Update with Chris Leone (GEN9649)
  • Meet the Market Influencers (GEN9796)

PaaS (Platform as a Service)

A few months ago, I wrote an article entitled What is PaaS? And why should HR care? (It’s good background for this conversation.) Platform as a service helps developers rapidly build and deploy rich human capital management (HCM) applications—or extend Oracle HCM Cloud SaaS apps—using an enterprise-grade cloud. Check out the sessions below to learn what it can do for you and your HCM team.

  • PaaS and the Oracle HCM Cloud Service (CON8962)
  • Tailoring Your User Experience in the Oracle HCM Cloud (CON8011)
  • Extend Oracle HCM Cloud (CON8972)

Mobile Hands-On Labs

The adoption of mobile technologies in our personal lives has changed the way we interact and communicate with the world around us. These behaviors have now crossed over into the workplace. Come see how you can deliver the mobile user experience needed for your people to remain engaged and productive, and keep business moving.

  • Experience Oracle HCM Cloud on a Mobile Device (HOL10327)

While this session will be held multiple times during the conference, there are a limited number of seats and they fill up fast. Use the Schedule Builder to pre-register to guarantee a spot.

Top 3 “Not-to-be-Missed” Sessions

Here are my three picks if you need help narrowing the choices:

  • HCM and the Digital Workforce (GEN9649) – In this session, Chris Leone, SVP and GM of development for Oracle HCM Cloud will share Oracle’s latest innovations to help you transform your HR practices to deliver strong business results and an engaging employee experience.
  • What is the Future of HCM? (GEN9651)– In this session, you will get insight into real-world experiences from HR leaders who have moved to the cloud—what worked, what they would have done differently, and what is next. If you want to learn from people who have “been there, and done that” in terms of developing an HR and business strategy, this session, hosted by Gretchen Alarcon, SVP for Oracle HCM, cannot be missed.
  • Meet the Market Influencers (GEN9796) – This session will be truly something special. Some of today’s smartest minds in technology and HCM will meet on stage to discuss their definitions of digital transformation, and provide their opinions and guidance on actions you can take to prepare your organization for this change. Keep an eye out for additional details as they are released.
