Oracle Human Capital Management had a huge presence earlier this month at the HR Technology Conference & Expo, where we demonstrated how we’re innovating in human resources technology. Here’s a recap of the various activities that Oracle participated in at this year’s conference.
New this year to the HR Tech Conference lineup was the “Women in HR Technology” pre-conference event, which exceeded all expectations. Exceptional female leaders from several companies spoke at the event, which was standing room only. Oracle’s Gretchen Alarcon and Cara Capretta participated in and moderated these lively discussions to provide insights into how women can take charge and create their own professional roadmaps. If you didn’t get a chance to attend the event this year, then mark it as a “must attend” for next year!
We had a host of different activities happening in and around HR Tech this year. Folks from our customers Xerox and MoneyGram spoke about how they modernized HR with Oracle Human Capital Management Cloud; in-booth presentations and demos from our product teams showed off our latest technology; and attendees recharged their mobile devices and tried out our virtual reality giveaways while they learned about Oracle HCM Cloud solutions in the VR and espresso lounge.
I always enjoy hosting the Oracle Mobile HCM Demo labs because this allows me to have one-on-one interactions with our attendees. We try to elevate the experience for our attendees by making iPads available for everyone who attends the demo, so that they can get a firsthand day-in-the-life experience of the Oracle HCM Cloud solution. This was another standing-room-only session.
The theme of this year’s conference was modern employee engagement, so we decided to give away virtual reality viewers to all attendees who stopped by the Oracle booth. Because technology is changing at such a rapid pace, we thought this would be a great experience for all our attendees. You never know—maybe in the future, aspects of VR will find their way into human capital management. Virtual onboarding or learning, maybe? Let’s wait and see what the future holds for VR and HCM.
This year’s HR Tech venue in Chicago was a welcome change from Las Vegas. However, getting around in Chicago wasn’t easy if you didn’t book a hotel near the conference location, McCormick Place. To make life a little easier, Oracle provided free rides to all HR Tech attendee —but not just any ride. Attendees got to kick back in one of our Tesla Model S and X cars!
We hope you were able to attend this great event, and we look forward to seeing you back in Vegas next year!
