What do I like Most in 11g - Oracle B2B 11g Metrics
By Nitesh Jain on Feb 22, 2010
Metrics is one of the interesting features of Oracle B2B 11g. Oracle B2B Metrics is a dashboard, which provides both system and partner level Run-time data. This is an interactive dashboard to manage some of the basic Message/trading partner statistics in real time.
Metrics page in administration tab is very useful for both Admin and Data Analyst. User can see, Analyze the run-time result in the metrics page along with taking intelligent decision. This can partly serve the Business Active monitoring use case i.e this can serve as a mini BAM.
There are two types of metrics available:
System Metrics: Typically System Metrics captures some of the Design time Active configuration related to partner, document, agreemnt etc for e.g No of Agreement, Active Trading partner etc.
Partner Metrics: This is more of runtime information related to message exchange of a trading partner.
Below are the data available as part of Metrics:
Summary: It shows the count of Active partners, Active agreements and Active Document types.
Messages and Errors: It shows Complete, Process and Error message count based on timing in column bar chart.
Message Count: This is a line chart that shows inbound and outbound message flow/quantity over time.
Active Document Types: Active Document Types Metrics table shows count of message sent and received from active document types. It shows the details of inbound and outbound message flow count with average processing time and size. This cart also shows the error message count.
Active Trading Partners: Active Trading Partners Metrics table shows count of message sent and received from trading partner. It shows the details of inbound and outbound message flow count with average processing time and size. This cart also shows the error message count.
Errors: Error table shows the collected data about the error message. It shows each error message with B2B message Id and error information.
