Oracle VM Server for SPARC Support

I saw a couple of related questions about Oracle VM Server for SPARC 3.3 support recently:

Are T7 servers with Oracle VM Server for SPARC 3.3 supported in Ops Center?

Yep. You can take a look at the Certified Systems Matrix to see the full list of supported systems.

What if I want to downgrade systems to Oracle VM Server for SPARC 3.2?

That's not something we've tested or certified.

Are live migration and automatic recovery supported for OVMSS 3.3?

Yes, the full feature set for OVMSS is supported for version 3.3. One issue worth mentioning, though, is that the option for setting the maximum bandwidth for a guest doesn't work properly in 3.3; we're working on that issue.

    Does Ops Center already fully support also vHBA feature in the OVM SPARC 3.3 ?

    Hi there. I have 2 SPARC T5 server pool. Each server with a control domain and a secondary domain in orther to have 2 paths to FC disk through "primary-vds0" and "secondary-vds0". Then there is a guest that have FC disk associated. This disk belongs to a multipath_group. Until here everything works fine... then when I try to migrate the guest to the other server on the pool I got this error "Library is not associated or VDS names are not the same (mismatch error). Domain Name secondary. Please ensure VDS names are the same across the hosts, library fc:///8c330ea8-43f7-4665-bb3b-e7e16d3e0eab is associated and try again.(63153)" When I associate the disk without multipath_group it migrate without a problem. I have already look for information about how to fix it on many places without success. Coul you please help?? any hint will be appretiated. Thank you in advance. Regards.

    The full feature set is supported, which should include vHBA.
