Installing Ops Center on OVM

I got a question about installing Ops Center:

"Can I install an Enterprise Controller or a Proxy Controller on an LDOM guest?"

Yes. You can also install on Oracle VM Server for x86, or in Oracle Solaris Zones. There are a few catches with installing in zones (Proxy Controllers can't be installed in S10 zones, only S11 zones, for instance). The specifics of installing in a zone are covered in the Oracle Solaris Installation Guide.

For a full listing of the supported platforms for the Enterprise Controller and Proxy Controllers, take a look at the Certified Systems Matrix.

Comments:

This is exactly what we do. Our Enterprise Controller is an LDOM on a T4-1 while our Proxy Controllers are physical T5120's. I'll soon be standing up another Proxy Controller in a remote location and this will also be an LDOM. Ops Center FTW!

Hi
wondering why I can't discover my pre-existing ORacle Vm servers and Managers (3.2.7) on (x86-64) thru enterprise ops ctr 12c..
I try everything,from root/password tcp 54321, to admin/password on http port 7001 and.or 7002.everything fails.
will I have to create OVM-manager and server from within ops center?

I have ops center installed on a solaris 86 OS.this is strictly for trying out the product,I'd like to see if it's worthwhile to use..
we're getting a new t4-1 server and we'll be virtualizing quite a few
existing physical solaris SPARC boxes, solaris 8,9,10..I'd like to try out Ops center before we get that machine.
