Oracle Big Data Technology Network Developer Day - 22/Jan/14

Oracle Big Data

Technology Network Developer Day

Wednesday 22th January, Lisbon

Dear partner,

I would like to invite you to participate in the Oracle Big Data Technology Network Developer Day in the Oracle Office in Lisbon.

The workshops are an established Oracle Enablement activity and give users and decision makers the opportunity to experience our software hands-on.

Big Data is possibly the hottest topic of discussion within the IT sector today and along with that it is possible one of the more misunderstood topics as well. Due to its complex nature Big Data cannot be classified as a single product but an ecosystem of compliant tools designed to enable the extraction of value from a yet untapped source, unstructured and semi structured data. This workshop will introduce you to the concepts, tools and possibilities of Big Data in an effort to empower you in finding new value from your data. You will get a very good idea of the possibilities of Big Data and at the same time a hint of what is not possible. Through this workshop you will see how Oracle has simplified the minefield of Big Data with the Big Data Appliance to allow standard tools and procedures of Data Warehousing to be integrated with Big Data to reach a faster more effective time to value.

The workshop is designed for a mix of technical and business audience, including content that can satisfy all parties. All of the sessions assume no prior knowledge and are suitable for anybody interested in the subjects. At the same time due to the breadth of products covered, a technical deep dive is not provided on any of the topics and only a general technical introduction is given. For technical deep dives in a subject of interest, you can interact with the workshop administrators.

It is important to note these are approximate time frames and sessions might run longer or shorter based on the number of questions and depth of presentation requested. The general aim of the workshop it to give a good overview of the components in the Big Data Appliance.
