Audience: Oracle Customers, Partner
Oracle Database Releases 11g and 12c provide significant improvements
in operability and manageability. However, until customers upgrade
their existing installations, they will not be able to take advantage
of these new features and options. The purpose of this workshop is
to enable Oracle Partners and Customers with hands-on Real Application
Testing expertise so they can plan and smoothly transition to new
releases and technologies.
Testing can be used as a technology “enabler” to test a variety of infrastructure
changes, from optimizer statistics refresh validation, compression,
RAC, ASM, Exadata V2 migration to consolidation of databases, all
of which will lower the costs for customers. Enabling customers and
partners with Real Application Testing expertise is an important
part of Oracle's strategy to help customers to adopt new technologies
and have a better experience while embracing these solutions.
In the workshop, we will provide valuable insight into the building
blocks of SQL Performance Analyzer (SPA) and Database Replay, their
internals, and when and how best to use each of these features, including
hands-on training. The session also provides tips on how to interpret
key SPA and Database Replay reports and how best to remediate the performance
bottlenecks identified in testing before the system changes are deployed
successfully in production.
