The Oracle team is pleased to invite your team to a 2-days hands-on workshop on Oracle Business Intelligence Cloud Service. Oracle Business Intelligence Cloud Service is a Oracle Cloud Platform service to extend and build analytic applications on a cloud. Oracle will organize five 2-days Workshops between June - November 2015. We invite you to join the workshop InClass or Remotely (avoid travel time and travel costs by joining remotely).

Workshop Description

This FREE workshop provides attendees with hands-on experience on Oracle’s Fusion Middleware Cloud Platform as a Service (PaaS) Solutions with hands-on labs and demonstrations.

You will start with an Overview of Oracle’s Fusion Middleware Infrastructure and Platform Services. You’ll learn about Public Cloud offerings such as the Oracle’s Java Cloud Service, Storage Service, Developer Service and integration with a Database Service. You will experience the steps necessary to create Java, Storage, Developer and Database Services.

As part of the workshop labs you will check out a Java application from the Developer Service, and load that application into your local JDeveloper/Eclipse IDE. Once you have built your application, you will experience the ease in deploying an application into the Java Cloud and connecting an application to the Database Cloud Service. You will learn how to load external libraries into the Java Cloud Servers before running and testing your application in the Cloud.

During the workshop you’ll also learn various Cloud Operational tasks, such as backing up and restoring your Java Cloud Service, along with Scaling up and down the Servers within the Cloud Platform.

Oracle BigMachine CPQ Implementation Specialist Boot Camp

The Oracle BigMachines CPQ Cloud product Boot camp is designed to enable new and existing partners with the product knowledge and training required to provide implementation services with the product knowledge, and strategies to help facilitate successful implementations.

What we cover:

The Oracle BigMachines CPQ cloud Implementation Boot Camp was created to enable partners with the implementation tools and knowledge required to implement and manage the solution for their clients with an advanced level of understanding of the application, its features and market preparedness. The course will cover a wide range of topics to give each student a basis of understanding of the product. Each student will learn the key points in each topic area, and will learn how the product should be set-up, configured, and implemented in various different situations.

By the end of the boot camp each student should be able to implement and manage a CPQ implementation project in many different markets and scenarios. Each student will complete the course with a level of understanding which will prepare them to take the Oracle BigMachines CPQ Cloud Essentials 2015 certification in the near future.

Learn all about TimesTen In-memory Database Architecture when and where it suits you

Are you a TimesTen Implementation Consultant who needs to know how to configure and administer a TimesTen database that caches data from an Oracle database.?.And all in your own time when it suits you?

Oracle University’s Oracle TimesTen and In-Memory Database Cache 11g course has just become available in a Training On Demand format. This course with a standard duration of 3 days is now available to you via streaming video and is accessible for 90 days.You can learn between billable projects and either at work or at home. During the 90 days you can schedule 6 consecutive days of labs.


You will learn to:

 

  • Configure and administer TimesTen databases and replication of data updates between TimesTen databases

  • Use the TimesTen database management utilities

  • Apply the various TimesTen features to produce an optimally-performing system

  • Define and create various types of cache groups

  • Define and create an active standby pair replication scheme

 

During this course you will develop a conceptual understanding of the Oracle TimesTen 11g In-Memory Database architecture. You'll gain the knowledge and skills to create an operational database and effectively manage the various elements, including connection configuration modes, user and privilege management and performance tuning.

 

You will also learn how to perform different types of operations on cache groups to keep the TimesTen database and Oracle database synchronized with each other. You'll gain a practical understanding of configuring a replicated system to provide high availability of a TimesTen database.
