You are welcome to attend to free of charge Fusion Project Portfolio Management (PPM) PartnerLab PILOT. This PartnerLab event presents the fundamental concepts of the Fusion Project Portfolio Management (PPM). It introduces you to functional areas of the product, how it is used and what you need to consider when implementing it for an organization.

Nature of the event: This PartnerLab is a workshop type of 2 day event led by Oracle PreSales and Product Development subject matter experts. These 2 days consist of discussions, presentations, demonstration and hands on exercises. Note: hands on exercises in already installed environment, i.e. you can consider the Project Portfolio Management PartnerLab as an extended hands on presales demo event. This PartnerLab will be delivered in English.

Preferred profile of a participant:This PartnerLab is designed for your lead Project Portfolio Management (PPM) Implementation architects, presales and implementation consultants; those who will support your Fusion Project Portfolio Management (PPM) sales and consulting practice as it grows. The individual who is attending the PartnerLab must have prior experience implementing Project Portfolio Management (PPM) solution. We expect your participant to leverage lessons learned onwards in your organization (i.e. a Train the Trainer approach).

  • We will have 20 Partner Participants working in Pairs, i.e. 1 having Hands On Access to the Project Portfolio Management and the other one watching. However, given this is 2 Day Event, you have a fair amount of Hands On.

  • We will have 2 Fusion Fusion Project Portfolio Management (PPM) Subject Matter Experts hosting 20 Participants, each SME having a certain Product Area in their responsibility. So, you have a good chance to network with Oracle Fusion Project Portfolio Management (PPM) SMEs.

We are pleased to announce the EMEA T5-8 Acceleration Promotion, a price promotion that, for a limited time, makes the T5-8 server available to our EMEA partners at a very attractive discount.

Why the SPARC T5-8 server

Sparc T5-8Oracle's SPARC servers running Oracle Solaris are ideal for mission-critical applications requiring high performance, best-in-class availability, and unmatched scalability on all application tiers. SPARC servers include built-in virtualization, systems management, and security at no additional cost. Designed for applications that demand the highest performance and 24x7 availability.

Oracle's SPARC T5-8 server is the fastest and the most advanced, scalable midrange server in the Oracle portfolio.

The Oracle SPARC T5-8 server is in the sweet spot of the UNIX midrange, and directly competing with IBM P770(+) and P780(+) systems, with a 7x price advantage (see official Oracle press release) over a similarly configured P780 system!

What are we offering

Effective immediately, the fully-configured T5-8 server is available to VADs with a 38% discount off price list: this is 8 additional points on top of the standard 30% contractual discount.

The promo will be communicated to VADs and VARs, and VADs are expected to pass the additional discount through to the VARs. Resellers will be encouraged to use this attractive price to position T5-8 versus the competition, accelerate T5-8 sales, and use the increased margin to offer additional services to their end users - thus expanding their footprint within their customers and making the T5-8 business proposition even more compelling.

This is a unique opportunity for partners to expand their base and beat the competition with a 7x price advantage over a similarly configured IBM P780.

This price promotion is only available to OPN Partners, and is valid until November 30, 2013.

    Important: Resell Rights for SPARC T5 and M5

    Dear partners, 

    please take note of the following information on the Resell Rights for the newly announced SPARC T5 and M5 systems.

    SPARC T5 Resell Rights

    • The existing T-Series Knowledge Zone tabs have been updated with T5 content!
    • The “Sell” tab reflects the updated Sales and PreSales Guided Learning Paths (GLPs)
    • Important: Resellers already authorized to resell T4 can also resell T5, until their renewal comes up. In other words, if a partners can sell T-Series servers(ie, T-Series Server Knowledge Zone), then automatically they can sell the T5. 

    At renewal, partners will need to complete the newly posted T5 Sales/PreSales GLPs as part of their renewal process

    At renewal, partners will need to get T5 Resell Rights even if they just need to resell T4 servers

    SPARC M5 Resell Rights

    • New product – new Knowledge Zone!
    • New criteria for Resell Authorization
    • In order to apply to distribute Oracle SPARC M5-32 Server products, you must meet the following criteria:

    Be a Gold, Platinum, or Diamond member of the Oracle PartnerNetwork in good standing with a valid OPN Agreement.

    Have confirmed acceptance from Oracle into the SPARC M5-32 Servers Knowledge Zone.

    Have a valid Full Use Distribution Agreement (FUDA) v041610 or later with Oracle, be in the process of applying for one, or have a valid addendum to your existing Full Use Distribution Agreement with current hardware terms.
