invitation. Oracle ATG Implementation Bootcamp

OPN invites you to join us for a 10-day implementation bootcamp for Oracle ATG Commerce in Barcelona from March 4th to March 15th, 2013.

This 10-day bootcampis designed to provide partners with hands-on experience and technical training to successfully build and deploy ATG Web Commerce 10 Applications. This bootcamp is particularly focused on helping partners develop the essential skills needed to implement every aspect of an ATG Commerce Application from scratch (not CRS-based), with a specific goal of enabling experienced Java/J2EE developers with a path to becoming functional, effective, contributing members of an ATG implementation team. But for both Developers new to ATG and experienced ATG Developers alike, the collaborative nature of this program and its exercises have proven to be highly effective and extremely valuable in also learning about best practices for implementing ATG solutions. Though not required, this bootcamp provides a structured path to earning a Certified ATG Commerce Implementation Specialization.


What we will cover

This boot camp is for Application Developers and Software Architects wanting to gain valuable insight into ATG application development best practices, as well as relevant and applicable implementation experience on projects modeled after four (4) of the most common types of applications built on the ATG platform.
The following learning objectives are all critical and are of equal priority in enabling this role to succeed.
This learning bootcamp will help the resource to:

  • Build a basic functional transaction-ready ATG Web Commerce 10 Application
  • Utilize ATG’s platform features such as scenarios, slots, targeters, user profiles and segments to create a personalized user experience
  • Build Nucleus components to support and/or extend application functionality
  • Understand the intricacies of ATG order checkout and fulfillment
  • Specify, design and implement new commerce features in ATG 10

Build a functional commerce application modeled after four (4) of the most common types of applications built on the ATG platform, within an agile-based project team environment under simulated real-world project conditions

Prerequisite Training and Environment Requirements:

Nature of the event: This PartnerLab is a workshop type of 2 day event led by Oracle Product Development subject matter experts. These 2 days consist of discussions, presentations, demonstration and hands on exercises.

Preferred profile of a participant: This PartnerLab is designed for your lead CRM Implementation architects, presales and implementation consultants; those who will support your Fusion CRM sales and consulting practice as it grows. These individuals may be members of a centre of excellence, or skills leadership office. The individual who is attending the PartnerLab must have prior experience implementing a CRM solution. We expect your participant to leverage lessons learned onwards in your organization (i.e. a Train the Trainer approach).

I am pleased to invite you to join the Innovations in Products - webcast. Innovations in Products will present Oracle Product's new functions and features including sales positioning. The key objectives of these webcasts are to inspire Partner's personnel to conduct successful sales, after sales and delivery at their Customer. Moreover, we aim to inspire you to conduct further Product Training and Certifications. Innovations in Products will be presented as per the schedule below after the billable day (4:00 to 5:00 PM CET). The webcast is intended for Partner's Implementation Certified Specialists but Innovations in Products is open for other Partner's personnel as well. At first, two Oracle representatives will discuss Oracle's contribution to partners. Then you will see product breakout session followed by Q&A with Oracle Experts. Each session will last for maximum 1 hour. A Q&A document covering all questions and answers will be made available after the webcast.

Delivery Format

Innovations in Products – program is a series of FREE prerecorded Oracle product presentations followed by Q&A. It will be delivered over the Web. Participants have the opportunity to submit questions during the web cast via chat and subject matter experts will provide verbal answers live.

Innovations in Products consists of several parallel prerecorded product breakout sessions, each lasting for max. 1 hour. At first, two Oracle representatives will discuss Oracle's contribution to Partners. Then you'll see the product breakout sessions followed by Q&A with Oracle Experts. A Q&A document covering all questions and answers will be made available after the webcast.

You can also see Innovations in Products afterwards as its content will be available online for the next 6-12 months.
