Been wondering what's new in OpenJDK?
The Sun team is getting ready for the next meeting of the Free/Libre Open Source Software Java developers that will take place February 7th and 8th during FOSDEM, in Brussels, Belgium. Check out their wiki for details on the Java Libre DevRoom Schedule.
Mark Reinhold & Joe Darcy are preping for their sessions - where they'll cover the state of OpenJDK, the Jigsaw project and a project for small language changes.
Dalibor Topic has been busy this week - providing some OpenJDK updates in a roundup post on his blog. He's also got a blog entry about the upcoming FOSDEM activities.
Over on Software Engineering Radio, you can hear episode 124 - a podcast with Dalibor where he talks about OpenJDK and discusses some of the challenges of creating such a big open source project and ways to keep it focused and organized.
If you read the German publication - Java Magazin, you should also look for Dalibor's monthly column on OpenJDK. As an extra bonus, the February 2009 issue also features Dalibor as their Author of the Month - including a nice Q&A.
