Sun's Hospitality Suite at Catalyst in San Francisco last week was a crowded venue, counting with the presence of customers like Capital One, partners like Deloitte & Touche, PwC and Approva, as well as industry experts. Jonathan Schwartz took the stage and discussed trends shaping the IT industry. He talked about the massive number of people and devices coming online and the resulting need for greater identity management and open source.
Sun showcased a few identity management
- Enterprise Role Lifecycle Management Offering by Sun, Deloitte and Vaau
- Compliant Provisioning with Sun Java(TM) System Identity Manager and Approva
- Sun Java(TM) System DSEE - Directory Proxy Server with a focus on virtual directory
Based on the movie “Monty Phython and the Holy Grail”, the Hospitality Suite was decorated with knights and killer rabbits. Coconut shells did a fine job as horses and attendants enjoyed roasted pigs during dinner. Here are a few photos of the event by Tiffany Bianco.
