    Slightly off topic but ...
Is there any chance that you guys are building an iPad EM console app???
I use the 3 adobe air based widgets in OSX but I would really LOVE an ipad based interface :)

    Hi Dan,
On the off topic subject, today I came across this little blog post:

I am not sure why would you take down the link for OEM 11g for Solaris.
it was there 2 days ago and now its gone..
I downloaded it successfully..just haven't had a chance to install it yet..
Now I am holding back as why was the link removed...
    Please let me know asap.

    HI Daniel,
Maybe the ops center hasn't been 'graced' with the presence of flash just yet?

If I install the OEM GRID AGENT when installing will it be able to communicate with a OEM GRID[OMS/AGENT/DB] installation?

Joel, I'm not 100% clear on the exact question you're asking but let me try and have a go at answering :-)
When you install an DB you'll get DB Control laid down with it. The agent part of this is not able to communicate with a Central Grid Control infrastructure. You would need to install a separate EM Grid Control agent onto the machine where your DB is installed.
(As an aside if there's already an EM agent on the machine and you install and database the DB installer will recognise it's presence and offer you the change to register the new Database with it).
For all the certification information on Agent compatibility with Targets, etc see the MyOracle Support Note 412431.1
Also, whilst you can monitor an 11.2 DB target with a Agent + OMS, to get a more right management experience with EM and 11.2 targets you should really be using an EM 11.1 Agent and EM 11.1 OMS.
    Hope this helps.
