Mirroring IPS repositories

I've been wondering for a long time how to mirror an IPS repository. I finally got a link to a page which explains it. So if you want to run an IPS mirror, look at these instructions.

i want to create a local repository but in your document, you wrote:
/usr/bin/rsync -a pkg.opensolaris.org::osol_dev_files /export/pkg/file

what is osol_dev_files? is it possible to rsync main repo so if i create a zone, it uses the local repo instead of going to pkg.opensolaris.org?
thanks

Hi Gerard,

yes, it's possible to create exact copy of official opensolaris.org/release repository but you will need access to the internal network - swan.
However, If you can't access to the swan, you can build local repository without around 20 packages.
