Oracle Enterprise Manager 13c Release 5 Update 2 (13.5.0.2) Is Now Available!

We're excited to announce our second Release Update for Oracle Enterprise Manager 13.5!  Oracle Enterprise Manager 13c Release 5 Update 2 (13.5.0.2), RU2 for short, is now available for download from My Oracle Support > Patches & Updates.

Release Updates Details

If you are new to the Enterprise Manager world you may find this information useful:  Release Updates (RUs) enable us to roll out new features and bug fixes quickly so you don't have to wait for a new major release. Release Updates are versioned using a trailing digit indicating the RU version and are cumulative, which means that the most recent RU includes functionality from all previous Release Updates.  Our general recommendation is to apply the most current Release Update as soon as possible.

Key Updates in RU2

This second update of EM 13.5 introduces new features designed to enhance the value and the overall customer experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager.  Here is a list of a few of these new features:

Enterprise Manager Dashboards

Dashboards allow you to visualize monitoring and management data in real time, enable you to monitor your enterprise at a glance, and simplify potential problems resolution.  With RU2, Enterprise Manager introduces out-of-the-box dashboards that provide a summary of the health, compliance status, grouping of your targets, and other details of your assets. The health and status data is organized, summarized and presented graphically as various widgets.  To further analyze and diagnose potential issues, you can drill down to more information from each widget. These dashboards can further be copied and customized as you see fit for your environment and your monitoring guidelines.

Data Distribution Analysis and Visualization for Database Sharding

Newly introduced Sharded Database metrics now enable advanced analysis of data distribution across shards within a sharded database.  These metrics provide insights into throughput, size or load so that shards can be searched, ranked and grouped based on this data.

STIG Standards Release 18 for Oracle Database 12c 

Enterprise Manager continues to enhance its support for the compliance standards part of the Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG). The latest STIG standards for Oracle Database 12c are now available via Self Update as well as through the Configuration and Compliance framework.
