We're happy to inform you that our fourth monthly Release Update, Oracle Enterprise Manager 13c Release 4 Update 4 (, RU4 in short, is now available for download!  You can download the Release Updates from My Oracle Support: Patches & Updates.

Release Updates Details

Release Updates (RUs) are a way for us to roll out new EM features and bug fixes more quickly, without waiting for a major release vehicle. Release Update patches are versioned with a trailing digit indicating the RU version (here, Note that RUs are cumulative, which means that the most recent RU includes functionality from all previous release updates.  It is our general recommendation that you apply the most current Release Updates as soon as possible.

Key Functional Updates included in RU4

Oracle Enterprise Manager 13.4 RU4 includes significant enhancements to Enterprise Manager key areas such as Autonomous database support, Cloud Self Service Portal, Pluggable Database Lifecycle Management, support for CIS Traditional and Unified Auditing Standard v 2.1.0 for Pluggable Databases 12c, broader TDE-enabled databases support as well as Engineered Systems new capabilities, just to name a few.

Specifically, we’ve added support for the full range of Autonomous Databases: including Autonomous Data Warehouse – Dedicated, Autonomous Data Warehouse – Shared and Autonomous Transaction Processing – Shared  as well as expanded our previous support for Autonomous Databases – Dedicated on Oracle Exadata Cloud at Customer.

We’ve also enhanced EM’s provisioning automation to support both admin-driven and self-service provisioning of cloud databases from the same interface, enabling administrators to use the same Pluggable Database (PDB) provisioning techniques across their entire database estate, on-premises and in the Cloud, and providing a seamless experience for both DBAs and self-service users.
