An Oracle blog about NetBeans for PHP

Problems in your PHP projects

Hi all, today we would like to show you a new feature we have added for NetBeans 7.3. If your PHP project has any configuration problem, NetBeans will warn you.

We will start with opening some broken project - NetBeans will detect it and mark it:

Broken PHP project

NetBeans will also show you a warning dialog which can be used for resolving project problems:

Project problems detected

One can use also a context action which is present on project in the Projects view:

Resolve problems action

The dialog for resolving project problems is very simple:

Dialog with project problems

Each problem usually has its own solution - for example, broken Test Files can be fixed directly in the Project Properties dialog so NetBeans will open it for you once you click the Resolve... button:

Project Properties dialog

That's all for today, as always, please test it and report all the issues or enhancements you find in NetBeans Bugzilla (component php, subcomponent Project).

Hi. Thanks for the new features in 7.3. I am looking forward to the release of it.

For the next release it would be really great if you could implement conditional breakpoints for the PHP Debugger (see bug #132066). This is a feature which would really help PHP developers to find problems in larger projects.

    Thanks for your work ;-)

Hi, I have a syntax visibility problem in netbeans 7.2 and 7.3.... I was using Netbeans 7.1 without any problem in Ubuntu 12.10, but when I upgraded Netbeans today I see there is some visibility error. While using camelCase and (Dollor) sign after it, the line gets down, and if I continue to code in next line, I see texts only half, and moving around UP and Down.... I might not be clear to explain properly, but visit the link below to see the snapshot I took, which gives clear idea what my issue is.

To Rajib & others: Please, report all issues directly in NetBeans Bugzilla (and not here), it is the _only_ way to fix them.
