    I won't be able to be there but there are a few things I think need some improvement:

    a) In the getter/setter insert code use the docblock information, if available, to create the set/get with the type hints/docblocks

    b) have support for docblox since phpDocumentor seems to be DOA

    c) When a method return an array of objects (ex. @return User[]) make the IDE understand that so when used in a foreach the item is treated as such by the code complete/assist

    $users = $object->search();

    foreach ($users as $user) {

    $user->foo(); // This should be possible for the IDE

    }

    d) Updated tutorials of debugging using Xdebug/Netbeans

    With PHP 5.4 coming up, will Netbeans add support for Traits?

  • Petr Monday, October 31, 2011

    @Ramiro: We have it on our plan. You can express your thought, what you expect from the support at http://netbeans.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=201774 . Thanks

    Hi,

    Hope you had a great conference. I have been using Netbeans for PHP since version 6.9.1 and I am amazed at how much I can do with it.

    However, there is a feature which I would love to have - search and replace IN FOLDERS. Though Netbeans allows search and replace in projects or in single files for that matter, it does not provide search and replace in sub-folders of a projects. I sourly miss this as many times I start creating a plugin for Moodle by copying an existing plugin folder and renaming it. Right now, I need to resort to Notepad++ for this.

    I looked up in the bug-tracker but this seemed to be an abandoned feature. Considering we already have this at project level, I though maybe I should take a shortcut and comment here.

    Thanks in advance.
