Output Window improvements

Guest Author

Today, I would like to inform that we have improved output of PHP scripts which is displayed directly in the IDE (using the Output Window component). The improvements are small but very useful I hope - now, one is able to navigate to a file which appears in:

  • PHP script output:
    PHP script output
  • test runner UI:
    Test runner UI
  • PHPUnit text output:
    PHPUnit text output

And as always, feel free to test it or file an issue if any problem appears.

That's all for today but stay tuned, Radek will blog about PHP debugger improvements soon.

    I loaded the latest build and now I have a small problem:

    Lets say, I have this Code:

    class foo

    public function bar()

    $this->bar(); // This Line makes the problems

    When I write the code in function bar and use code completion to choose the bar function, it intends my code using one tab.

    I have this problem most of the time, when I use code completion.

    Thanks for your Help,

    Now would be a cool time to spend some time in "showing whitespace characters" in the editor...

    I would love to use NetBeans but since I can´t see my whitespace characters (tabs etc.) I have to stay with PDT :-(

    To Ralf K.:

    Try to search for NB plugin named "StripWhitespace" (I think).

    "StripWhitespace" shows the WhiteSpaces ?

    I am using Netbeans 6.7M3 PHP edition.

    I have a question regarding Debugging php files.

    When I press debug file, it opens the browser each time. I have to switch back to Netbeans everytime i debug a file. Its very distracting.

    Is it possible to just start the debugging inside Netbeans without opening the Browser.

    I have downloaded NB6.7M3 for Windows. I can see "test runner UI" window and "PHPUnit text output", but no "PHP script output" with script output and Exceptions links like on first pic. Is it possible in the night build only :((((?

    PS: Thanks a lot for PHPUnit tests!
