    Author says, he has "little experience with it". IMHO, one shouldn't write about something he knows a little about. ;)

    IDE != Editor, don't get me wrong, I love netbeans and vim, but I preffer netbeans for large projects (when you work with a framework with a thousands of classes is pretty awesome) instead of vim.

    Like vim, NetBeans should be used some time, to be productive. I use both editors. And I don't understand what is the problem with commands. You can always open a shell window and execute commands there, even under windows via PuTTy.

    I this post author didn't wrote about sql support in php scripts and in general, which is awesome and timesaver. Css, javascript, code coverage, code templates etc. Very shallow post, IMHO

    vim is an editor. netbeans is an IDE and there's a whole list of things which netbeans can do and vim can't
