An Oracle blog about NetBeans for PHP

Much faster upload-on-save thanks keep-alive

Hi all, today it will be just a very short blog post but about a feature which was requested by a large number of you, our NetBeans PHP users. We just implemented keep-alive for the internal (S)FTP client so the upload-on-save functionality is now much more faster and more friendly for your remote servers. You can adjust the keep-alive interval in the properties of your remote server (it's the same for FTP and SFTP configuration panel):

Keep-alive in Remote Options dialog

That's all for today, as always, please test it and as said above, report all the issues or enhancements you find in NetBeans BugZilla (component php, subcomponent FTP Support).

Hudson has not built a version of Netbeans for about two weeks. Luckily, the last successful build is the one that includes the patches that include the keep alive. Thomas, can you see about getting Hudson working again?

You are right. The build at bertram was for some reason disabled. I don't know why, but I have enabled it again.
