Thank you so much for your hard work and commitment to a great IDE and open source software!

It would be nice if NetBeans had custom settings for nonprintable characters displaying. For example I need to see only tabs in begining of lines and any white spaces in the end.

Also one good feature I saw in phpstorm is injected code highlighting. For example we have sql query in php code. IDE should recognize SQL and highhight it

I have NetBeans 7.01 installed. When I click "Check for Updates" it says "Your IDE is up to date!".

Any idea?

Just noticed another amazing feature (undocumented?) added in 7.1: Double click + drag word selection! Previously you could double click one word but not drag from there. Now you can! Thank you!

Four out of nine provinces in South Africa will start using NetBeans as the IDE for the practical component of Information Technology in high schools as from 2013. This component focuses on Java programming including database connectivity. We are currently using MS Access but will be using JavaDB as from 2013.
Key question: Will the Derby version in Netbeans which is currently at 10.3... be upgraded to at least 10.7.. ? We would prefer to have the use of the boolean datatype.

When will the version of Derby in JavaDB be upgraded to 10.7.. so that the boolean datatype can be used?

Hi, I can not answer your question now. I'm going to ask guys from the db support.

Thanks,
Petr
