Fixing, Fixing and Fixing again

For the last few weeks we have been in a bug fixing phase of the development cycle. We are trying to fix as many issues as possible before the code freeze of NetBeans 6.5 in two weeks. After the code freeze  we will fix only show stoppers, but now we can still fix issues with priorities P2 and some P3. It depends on how much time we have.

I hope that the first version of PHP support will be really useful for you. If you find an issue in the latet builds, please enter the issue in our Issuezilla. Thanks very much for your support and help.

Hello,

I still have problems using prototype and jQuery with the new Netbeans Version. I allready asked on the Mailling Lists, but I did not get an answer...
Where is the best location to ask questions about the Javascript integration?

Thanks and Greetigns,

Hi Stefan,

you have sent it to the nbajax@netbeans.org mailing list, is it right? If I remember correctly the mail, you should file a bug against javascript editor. If you think that it's important, increase the default priority. If you will enter new issue, please put me on cc (ppisl). If you don't want to enter it, I can do it. But usually a bug from community is more respected :).

Thanks,
Petr

Hello,

What will happen to php plugin after netbeans 6.5 will be released?

Will new versions of php plugin be developed independently of netbeans? Or we will need to wait for netbneans 7 for bugfixes, new features?

Posted by Michal on October 06, 2008 at 01:48 AM CEST #

Hi Michal,

the development of php plugin will be synchronized with NetBeans releases. At least there is such plan for the next release. But it doesn't mean that you have to wait for a fix until NetBeans next will be published. There will be available patches over NetBeans Update Center.

The second option is to use development build of the next release, if the problem will be fixed there. But I expect that at the beginning of the development cycle the build will be little unstable due some changes in infrastructure.

I hope that the php support ofter releasing NetBeans 6.5 will not suffer with any serious bug:).

Regards,
Petr

Hi Henri,

could you share a screenshot of this? It sounds strange and I haven't heard about this yet.

Or you can file new issue in our issuezilla http://www.netbeans.org/community/issues.html , component php, subcomponent project.

Thanks,
Petr
