We're very happy to announce the general availability of the next release of Oracle Enterprise Manager for MySQL, version (see the full changelog here). This is the official MySQL plugin for Enterprise Manager 12c, offering a fully supported and integrated solution that is included with your MySQL Enterprise Edition subscription.  


What's New: Expert MySQL Advice Within Enterprise Manager 

We've leveraged Enteprise Manager's compliance framework to help you ensure that all of your MySQL targets are following best practices as established by industry standards and the MySQL experts at Oracle:

With the new release you can:

  1. Monitor the health and availability of your MySQL Databases
  2. Ensure that your MySQL Databases are secure
  3. Ensure that your MySQL Replication setup is healthy
  4. Ensure that your MySQL Databases are being used and administered properly 
  5. Ensure that your MySQL Databases have an optimal configuration and are performing well

All of this, simply by installing the latest official Oracle Enterprise Manager for MySQL plugin for 12c! 

You can download the new version of the plugin from My Oracle Support, or you can install it directly from within Enterprise Manager. You can find the complete documentation here.     Can it work with Amazon RDS Mysql servers?.

    Yes, you should be able to monitor RDS based MySQL instances just fine. If you do encounter any issues though, please let us know.
