Kuldeep singh, the lab manager of JWS, was participating in the full marathon and it seems he completed it in 3:12, and that's just stunning. way to go, dude. I think he came within the top 10.
Couldn't hang around at the stadium for long, since the motoGP was on, this time the circus moving to Phillip island, Australia. Rushed home, quick bath, grabbed two pint beers, and rushed to a friend's place to catch the action on TV. superb race, and Rossi producing yet another incredible performance to cut past Gibernau and take the last podium place. Poor Gibernau, again.
Two pints were more than enough to get me stone drunk, and somehow found my way back to my house. Within a few minutes Killa dude turned up on his new Yamaha R1, and we went to Ron's place. It was scary riding pillion on that bike. Heartstopping acceleration, eyepopping decceleration. Somehow hung on and reached Ron's place, and found that Ron and Anand were loading Anand's "track monster" big bore RXG onto his scorpio, to take it for a testing session at Outer ring road. Psycho was there as well, so we tagged along in his car. It was a brief testing session, and Anand took a few runs and they identified the bike's problem to it's faulty plug cap. The bike is sounding very mean, but there are some jetting/timing issues, and once they are sorted out, she is gonna really fly.
Had a suffocating ride back in the Scorpio, where we had a open canful of motul premixed petrol, and the fumes really got to me and killa. Anyway we got down at Rose garden, for more beer and snacks, and that cured the nausea :)
Anyway a hectic day after a long long time, a good half marathon, awesome motoGP, beer, a scary R1 ride, a testing session on outer ring road, and finally more beer.
