SNIA Unveils Agenda for the 4th Annual Storage Developer Conference

Leaders from Amazon, Linux Foundation, NetApp, Samba Team, Sun Microsystems and VMWare to Keynote and Explore storage Development and Innovation

San Francisco, CA (July 8, 2008)
— The Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA) today announced
its agenda and speaker line-up for the 2008 Storage Developer
Conference. Keynote speakers will represent companies including Amazon,
Linux Foundation, NetApp, Samba Team, Sun Microsystems and VMware. The
keynotes and more than 50 additional conference sessions will address
SNIA standards work related to the Storage Management
Initiative-Specification (SMI–S) and the eXtensible Access Method (XAM)
as well as emerging trends including Fibre Channel Over Ethernet
(FCoE), Internet Small Computer System Interface (iSCSI),
virtualization platforms, storage security, green technologies, Server
Message Block (SMB) and SMB2 and Common Internet File System (CIFS),
among many others.


Now in its fourth year, the Storage Developer Conference will be held
Sept. 22–25, 2008 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Santa Clara,
California. The conference is aimed at bringing together more than 250
storage developers, engineers, product managers, and related IT
development staff to help them shorten time to market, increase
acceptability and interoperability in production environments and
understand where storage technologies are heading.
