Advice and Information for Finance Professionals

Why You Need to Attend EDUCAUSE 2019

Across the country, college campuses are buzzing with activity, as students hit the books in preparation for midterms. However, learning opportunities aren’t exclusive to students. Business and finance leaders in higher education looking to outpace change should attend this fall’s premier IT event for higher learning.

Chicago: My Kind of Town

EDUCAUSE 2019 will be held in Chicago, October 14-17. Participants will be in the windy city for what I consider the best season: fall. The fall foliage will create scenic backgrounds at must-see attractions like Cloud Gate (i.e. The Bean), Navy Park, the Skydeck at Willis Tower, and the Art Institute of Chicago, where we’ll be hosting a networking reception on Tuesday night.

Oracle, a platinum partner at this year’s EDUCAUSE, will be leading several key learning opportunities you can’t afford to miss!

  • Oracle will be teaming up with Huron to put together a fabulous networking reception for customers at the Art Institute of Chicago. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in dialogue with subject matter experts and catch a special viewing of the Impressionist Galleries.

Wednesday, October 16, 10:45-11:30am

  • Map Your Journey to Cloud: Featured speakers Borre Ulrichsen, Chief Information Officer at Gonzaga University, Cheri Polenske, Assistant Vice President, Enterprise Services, University of Nebraska, Information Technology Services and Peter J. Murray, Chief Information Officer, Vice President for Information Technology, University of Maryland, Baltimore are familiar with the changes occurring in higher education. New fiscal realities, evolving business models, and increasing student expectations are some of the challenges facing leaders in higher learning. Learn how these institutions are future-ready by embracing a practical path to the cloud.

Oracle Booth

  • Oracle will have several dedicated pods set up at #1307. Stop by to learn how Oracle’s end-to-end solutions can help future-proof your institution. There will be demo pods for Oracle Student Cloud, Oracle ERP Cloud, Oracle HCM Cloud, Oracle Analytics Cloud, Oracle Autonomous Database and Oracle Cloud Platform.
  • If you’d like the opportunity to meet with one of our executives or subject matter experts, you can schedule a private meeting with them to discuss how Oracle can help you reimagine the student experience. Drop by the booth and we’ll help set up a conversation.
