In our experience, sole leadership in any analyst report is exceedingly rare, and consecutive years of sole leadership is unprecedented. This is a tremendous testament to our product vision and strategy, as well as the market momentum gained with our 7,100+ cloud ERP customers.

Today’s announcement comes hot on the heels of our Leader position in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Cloud Core Financial Management Suites for Midsize, Large, and Global Enterprises. In that report, Oracle ERP Cloud was named a Leader for the 4th year in a row.

What is product-centric cloud ERP?

According to the report:

“Gartner defines a product-centric cloud ERP suite as a set of loosely coupled products comprising:

  • Operational ERP — supply chain and manufacturing-related functionality such as demand management, order management, material requirements planning (MRP), inventory management, supply chain/direct procurement, manufacturing control capabilities, and distribution/logistics.
  • Financial management functionality (those vendors that provide only financial management as a suite are rated in a separate Magic Quadrant).
  • Purchasing focused on indirect goods, services and capital equipment.
  • HCM — for cost management as well as staffing for operational resources.
  • Specialized, industry-specific modules or applications including, but not limited to, modules such as configure-to-order (CTO) or make-to-order (MTO), and field service management (FSM), or broader application solutions like enterprise asset management (EAM) and product life cycle management (PLM).

A product-centric cloud ERP suite must provide, as a minimum, operational ERP and financial management functionality.”

Why Oracle for product-centric cloud ERP?

Oracle ERP Cloud offers a wide range of functional capabilities for product-centric enterprises. In fact, we believe Oracle is the only provider that meets Gartner’s definition of a product-centric cloud ERP suite—with a complete suite across financialssupply chainhuman resourcescustomer experience, and more. Our cloud applications for operations and finance come with advanced technology built in—such as AI/machine learning, IoT, track and trace, advanced analytics, and more. This commitment to continuous innovation helps Oracle customers build a resilient business that can adapt quickly to changes (such as the COVID-19 crisis) and come out ahead of the competition.

As a cloud provider, we are a partner in our customer’s success. In a recent TrustRadius report, customers who reviewed Oracle ERP Cloud gave it high marks for integration, breadth of product features, reporting capabilities, and low maintenance costs and effort. One customer wrote, “Compared to Oracle ERP Cloud, SAP ERP falls short in many features. For example, SAP has a rudimentary budgeting tool while Oracle ERP offers Asset Lifecycle Management, which gives organization a much more finer grain control over their financing needs.”

Reviewers also highlighted that Oracle ERP Cloud is a great option for companies looking to switch from an on-premise ERP software to the cloud. One customer wrote, “We looked at SAP and some others, but Oracle was the only one that we found that built the software for the cloud specifically. It’s not just a fancy front end with a green screen background.”
