Oracle ADF Mobile Patch 6 Released - Speeding Up Android Apps

In the world of mobile you need to be moving fast, and the ADF Mobile team has been busy doing just this.

Less than 2 months after our last patch release - that added the new look and feels for your ADF Mobile apps - we are happy to announce another new release - patch 6.

The main difference you are going to see with this release is if you are doing development/testing/running on the Android OS.

We have dramatically improved the initial startup time for ADF Mobile apps on Android.

What do we mean by dramatic? Well, from our testing ADF Mobile apps are starting up as much as five time faster than before.

So make sure to download the latest ADF Mobile patch using the Help->Check for Update feature in your JDeveloper

YOU guys are the best! thanks can't wait to try it!

I have my app built with the previous release (5 I guess) and I downloaded adf mobile again, What can I do to apply the new release? I seems even slower I guess

Hi! well I solved my problem I had to create a new deployment profile! Don't use the previous ones!
My app takes 10-15 seconds more to deploy but it seems to load faster.
I have also noticed that my buttons that are inside a panelgrouplayout are now closer together, What other new features have been added?

I am facing issue while running application. After deployment, it takes too much to load application and it says "Application is not responding" on emulator.

guest, you might need to first do a clean-all from the build menu on your application and then do a redeployment for the changes in the patch to take effect.
