Oracle's CRMOD is one of our hottest selling products right now. When researching this month's topic, I read meeting notes from a recent CIO forum. In regards to CRM, just about every CIO at the meeting spoke of the challenges in getting end users to adopt new solutions. It would be nice to think that you--as a CIO, VP of Sales/Marketing, or Director of Customer Care--could roll out a new CRM solution and everyone would start using it immediately, while thanking you profusely.

But we know that's not the real world. It takes active executive sponsorship as well a combination of mandates and enticements to achieve 100% adoption, especially among sales reps who are set in their ways. I know about that well from my personal sales experience back in the day.
