I look forward to the annual Oracle Profit Magazine JD Edwards Special Edition almost as much as Powder Magazine's Buyers Guide and the REI Spring Catalog. First, there's a soft spot in my heart for JD Edwards since I started my technology marketing career there. The JD Edwards campus is just down the hill in the Denver Tech Center and I could see it from my home office window if there wasn't a mountain in the way. But more importantly, Profit Magazine's Editor in Chief Aaron Lazenby always assembles an interesting collection of insightful and practical information about Oracle's JD Edwards customer experiences and what's new and exciting about this enduring enterprise suite of solutions.
In this year's special edition, I especially enjoyed "It's Time to Darken the Cockpit: A shift toward usability requires a new approach to back-end systems", by Rebecca Wettemann of Nucleus Research and Lazenby's Q&A with Lyle Ekdahl, SVP and General Manager of Oracle JD Edwards, "Eyes on the Prize: Oracle’s JD Edwards team stays focused on incremental innovation".
