We won!

My family and I just won a trip to France! You know that contest I told you that my family and I were in? They just announced that we won!!! I can't believe it. Apparently it was the cell phone votes that put us over the top so many, many, many thanks to all of you who voted for us.

In addition to the trip to France we also get to use a Picasso car for a year.

Wow. So exciting. I'm still kinda speechless.

congrats! just chanced upon your blog and we did the reverse: move from Singapore to Utah. Although Spore is different from Beijing, certain things you mentioned under "What to pack/bring" are so true! :-) I packed all my kids' Thomas the Tank Engine sets and so on, only to find that they had the whole range here too! But I was glad I let them bring the Ultraman, cos I had no idea Ultraman cannot be found in USA! And yes, when in Spore, I potty-trained my elder son very early, but over here in USA, it is just more difficult to potty train my younger son, so he is still in diapers (2.5yrs old now). I believe it is because of the carpeting, the thick mattresses, which make me feel less willing to take risks of letting him go diaper-free. Anyway, I have a lot to say, and I don't want to clog up this comment box. Will be reading your blog from now on, because it is very interesting how we are experiencing almost the same differences, the other way round! :-)

Thanks everyone! To answer the questions you raised:

- I'm not sure when we go, we don't have any details at all yet. The producers of the show are on vacation this week so we haven't been able to talk to them since we found out we won. Hopefully we'll talk to them next week.

- I'll blog about the car we won - the Picasso is a nice family car made by Citroen.

- Yes, all expenses paid!

- Yes, I'll try to get to Grenoble if I can. It is such a beautiful place.

- I'll put stuff on youtube as soon as I can figure out how to edit out all the scenes of me in the spandex body suit. :)

- Yes, I'm sure the spandex body suit is what put us over the top! :)
