World's Most Confusing Restroom Signs

The other day I strayed away from The Known and went to a new, hip restaurant in Beijing called Block 8. It's a totally trendy place where young, beautiful people go to see and be seen.

Clearly I have no business at a place like this. For example, the signs for the bathroom left me dumbfounded, especially after a couple of glasses of wine. But seriously, would you have found these confusing too?

men's restroom
women's restroom

I need to go back to T.G.I. Friday's where I belong.

Haha, it took me a few seconds to figure it out sober. I think I would be in trouble if I had a few drinks...

This is nothing! You have not been tested to Peking Opera characters or cryptic Chinese proses (观瀑亭 and 听雨轩).

Thanks Abraham that makes me feel better!

Sin-yaw, my guess is that the one with 'listen' and 'rain' in it is for women. Am I right?

Probably I am still sleepy, but does the name of place indicate something - "Block" ?

Reminds me of the time a few months ago that I went out for sushi. I asked the waiter where the bathroom was and followed his directions exactly: down the hall, door on the left. The bathroom was one of those "one-person-at-time" rooms, so I locked the door behind me, sat down, and contemplated the door. It was made of white frosted glass, and it had a big white (almost couldn't see it) M on it. Hmmm, wonder what the M stands for, since the restaurant is Sushi SaSa? M, M, M... Oh God, I'm in the men's room! Thank GOD it was a single room because that could have been embarrassing.

Sure enough, upon exit, directly across from me was a frosted glass door with a barely visible W on it. The waiter had sent me to the men's room by mistake and it hadn't occurred to me check the signs (not that I'd have seen them) to confirm I was in the right place.

As for Block 8, it would have taken me me at least a few minutes to interpret those signs...
