Oracle MDM Customer Experiences ROI of 105%

Oracle recently commissioned Nucleus Research to conduct an ROI study on an Oracle MDM customer and leading European energy provider.

The study found an ROI of 105% and a payback of just 2.1 years.  A key to this success was the iterative implementation approach the company applied over a 12 month period.  While there may be examples of quicker payback, this was a complex implementation, encompassing more than 40 different sources, including SAP, Salesforce.com, Siebel, BAAN, Syteling, and Prodstar, and impacting 3,000 indirect users.

Furthermore, not only was the original goal of improving customer data sharing a success, but the customer also experienced additional, unexpected benefits.  Additional benefits include:

    • Reduced data management costs.
    • Reduction of bad debt and accelerated collection times.
    • Faster project cycle times.
    • Increased end-user productivity.
