Which Types of YouTube Videos Garner the Most New Subscribers? [CHART]

In previous Charts of the Week, we’ve focused on how YouTube videos are an important channel being used for documentation and product support. However, are the people who watch your videos then subscribing to your YouTube channel and, therefore, following your content, potentially becoming a customer?  Or are they just browsing and moving on?

This week’s chart analyzes where new subscribers to the Eloqua channel come from. Is there a particular type of video that attracts more people to subscribe than others? It appears that most people are subscribing from watching general videos — that is — non-demo and non-instructional categories.

This can vary widely based on your company type and style of video composition, but for a marketing company, it makes sense that the subscriber base additions are mostly attributable to marketing videos. Don't forget: people subscribe to your YouTube channel because they want to hear from you and learn about your company.  It's a great way to add to your prospects and customer base.  The important thing is to continue to engage your viewers on YouTube just as you would via email.  You can also direct contacts to your YouTube videos by embedding a cloud connector on your Eloqua Landing Pages!
