Email activity and seasonal trends during the past week:
The Retail Email Index: The top online retailers sent each of their subscribers 3.7 promotional emails on average during the week ending June 1, 2012. That’s flat week-over-week, down 1% from where it was four weeks ago, and up 17% year-over-year.
The Retail Email Participation Rate: Monday was the most popular day to send retail emails last week.
The Retail Email Seasonality Meter:Memorial Day messaging was a little stronger last week, stealing some steam from Father’s Day messaging, which is now significantly behind last year’s pace. We’ll likely see some catch up this week with Father’s Day just two weeks away.
