Email activity and seasonal trends during the past week:
The Retail Email Index: Top online retailers sent each of their subscribers 2.6 promotional emails on average during the week ending Aug. 6, 2010. That’s down 5% week-over-week, down 5% from where it was four weeks ago, and up 9% year-over-year.
The Retail Email Participation Rate: Tuesday was the most popular day to send retail emails last week.
The Retail Email Seasonality Meter: Back-to-school messaging should peak this week. We should also see the first reference to Labor Day this week.
