If your company has an online community that you’re encouraged to participate in, on what day will you get the most bang for your activity buck? We recently did a bit of data crunching on our own Topliners community in response to a member’s comment that you could tell it was a Friday based on all the activity happening on the community.
Our 2012 data showed us that mid-week is the busiest time on our own community, with a peak on Wednesday. Sorry, Jennifer, Friday’s just aren’t as active as you thought.
Based on your audience, your own community may differ, but it’s safe to assume that mid-week is when many of us tackle our big projects for the week and we have questions that need to be answered. So if you’ve been asked to join in regularly to your own community, you might want to set yourself a calendar reminder on Wednesdays so you can be part of the action.
