The Content Marketing Institute, the people behind CCO magazine, Content Marketing World and more, honored this year’s winners in the 2013 Content Marketing Awards. Among the winners is Cvent, one of Compendium’s customers, who took home the award for Best Overall Corporate Blog.
It’s always nice to win awards, but it’s always nicer to see a customer’s successful implementation of a corporate content marketing strategy. And Cvent, a world leader in online event management, did just that.
Cvent created four audience-specific content hubs with unique goals (like brand awareness and lead generation). The content workflow allowed more than 50 writers to stay on message but also generate daily content effectively and efficiently with almost 8,000 articles published since 2008.
Cvent has seen traffic to their content hubs increase 175 percent from 2010 to 2011. Then, after moving to Compendium’s new content layout in the fall of 2012, the number of page views has doubled.
Perhaps most importantly, Cvent has seen a 325 percent increase in sales-ready leads and expects the blog to generate around $1 million in ad sales. Those are results that get you noticed, and not only by the Content Marketing Institute, but by the industry and your executive team, as well.
