The Weekly Inbox is a collection of email marketing messages from across the retail, travel/hospitality and financial services industries that caught my eye for being clever, forward thinking, creative or just plain awesome.
Welcome back to the next installment of The Weekly Inbox.
We are now less than 2 weeks away from Thanksgiving which of course means Black Friday and Cyber Monday are right around the corner.
And speaking of Black Friday, be sure to check back here on that date, November 29, as we'll be bringing you some examples of emails we received that very day.
Tools of the trade
Here's one from Williams-Sonoma with the subject line: "Thanksgiving Guide: Must-Have Tools" This below is just a snippet of a longer email which featured brilliant photography (see below for another portion of the email). And as one who is culinary-challenged, I appreciate anyone who can help me in the kitchen.
The Lowe Down
Received this one from Lowe's with the subject line: "Get an Early Look at Black Friday Deals." I like this email for its simplicity. Not an overly high amount of content and I like the prominence of the Pinterest board reference.
Was curious so I clicked on "Take a Peek" and it brought me here (below) which featured the same design but also a countdown clock complete with what appears to be a very happy customer as she awaits the arrival of Black Friday deals.
Hang ten, dude
I love the friendly, relaxed tone in the emails from Hawaiian Airlines such as this one below. A fun promotion for sure and the tone is spot on. I also like the fact that the "Share This Offer" functionality is very prominent.
Gone to the dogs
With a subject line of "Flights to bark about." I just knew I had to open this one from Virgin America. Maybe it's because I am a dog lover, not sure. But regardless of why, I am glad I did open it. Warm color palette, playful tone all for a great cause.
