The Weekly Inbox is a collection of email marketing messages from across the retail, travel/hospitality and financial services industries that caught my eye for being clever, forward thinking, creative or just plain awesome.
Welcome back to the next installment of The Weekly Inbox.
In just a few days it will be Black Friday, which these days doesn't seem to have the same cache as it once did for the simple reason more and more retailers are opening their doors on Thanksgiving and/or are promoting their Black Friday sales the entire month of November.
Here's some Black Friday emails that caught my eye.
All about that Bass...
As I mentioned above, many retailers are extending their sales beyond Black Friday and here's a perfect example of that in this email from Bass Pro Shops. It is very well done on many levels including the imagery, which is highly engaging.
I am stoked
I love this email from REI. Sure it has the black background, color to it to tie into Black Friday but I love the tie in between the word "stoked" and the fire image.
Don't tease me
The email below from Nordstrom first caught my eye with its cinematic-themed subject line: "Coming Soon: Black Friday in Stores." Then when I opened it I was instantly drawn into the whole black & white feel to it. Just the right amount of copy, too.
Great deals, book it
Another example of a retailer extending the Black Friday experience, this time from Barnes & Noble. Very well done email; clean, straightforward, tells me what I need to know and do.
Don't tease me... oh wait
The folks at Lenovo decided to not tease me but rather reveal at least some of their Black Friday deals. Of course they can't give them all away early, right?
