The Weekly Inbox is a collection of email marketing messages from across the retail, travel/hospitality and financial services industries that are clever, forward-thinking, or just plain awesome.
Last week I was on vacation, again. I know, I was just on vacation then went again? What's up with that? Anyway, in my stead once again was the very capable Alissa Kline who killed it once again last week in The Weekly Inbox volume 46.
I am back and here's some emails that caught my eye this past week.
A labor of love
Hard to believe but another summer is winding down which of course means Labor Day is not far behind. This email from REI gets an early start on the holiday festivities. Being the fan of the straightforward approach, where applicable, that I am — I love this email. Tells me right up front all the details I need to know.
Play it cool
A more appropriate title for this would have been "wear it cool" for Nordstrom surely had this message in mind when they sent this email. I love the minimalistic approach to this email. Love it. very well done.
What's in a name?
Be honest, if you saw this subject line: "August New Products - Hip Chick Farms, Back to School Lunchboxes, and more!" would you not want to learn more about Hip Chick Farms? That name alone, in the email below from Whole Foods Market was cause enough for me to open it. And once I opened it I was more intrigued and had to learn more. Well done.
The email below from Orbitz caught my eye for the incredibly vivid imagery in it. The main headline image is stunning. It draws you right in and makes you want to go to this place or at they very least learn more about going.
