The Weekly Inbox is a collection of email marketing messages from across the retail, travel/hospitality and financial services industries that are clever, forward-thinking, or just plain awesome.
Last week my esteemed colleague Alissa Kline filled in for me while I was on vacation and did a phenomenal job. You rock Alissa!
I am back and here's some emails that caught my eye this past week.
Close encounters of the Harley kind
I readily admit this email below from Harley-Davidson drew me in instantly for purely personal pop culture reasons. The subject line "Summer Riding. Sturgis. Devils Tower." caught my eye, in particular the last two words for The Devils Tower is of course where the classic film Close Encounters of the Third Kind has its memorable ending. Happens to be my favorite movie of all time. Email is fantastic in its design and execution for sure.
Love this email from Neiman Marcus. Straight to the point yet very inviting from an imagery standpoint. Clear. Concise. Engaging. Love it.
Have you seen a little white beagle?
As you probably know by now I am fan of all things pop culture and that includes Snoopy, the one-of-a-kind ying to Charlie Brown's yang. A part of Met Life for years he of course pops up in this email below. Great email; true to the brand; doesn't overwhelm with too many colors or too much text. Very well done.
The most wonderful time of the year
I can't recall the product but this song was used in a commercial a few years back and the subject was back to school. I thought it while reading the email below from JCPenney. Surely kids wouldn't like this email but we parents sure do. Great email that delivers on its straightforward subject line "Stock up for school with extra 15% off—ends soon!"
