Email marketing: The Weekly Inbox volume 37 (Father's Day edition)

Steve Olenski
Master Principal Sales Architect

The Weekly Inbox is a collection of email marketing messages from across the retail, travel/hospitality and financial services industries that caught my eye for being clever, forward thinking, creative or just plain awesome.

Welcome back to the next installment of The Weekly Inbox.

Earlier this year we had our special Mother's Day edition of the Weekly Inbox. To be fair, we now present the Father's Day edition of the Weekly Inbox.

Want in?

The subject line from this email from Barnes & Noble drew me right in: "The Gift Every Dad Wants." Then, the content of the email was perfect because it didn't hit me over the head with one sale after another, but rather focused on two specific gifts. Perfect.

One size fits all

Though Father's Day isn't its main theme, the Hawaiian Airlines email below offers some very sound and sage advice for all those looking to get something for dear old dad. It's a great email for it paints the perfect picture... of paradise.

Rise and shine

Ok, I have to admit I was drawn to the headline "LET DAD SHINE" in the email below from Zales. I mean, c'mon of course this dad wants to shine! Very clean, airy email with fantastic colors and imagery — plus with a little Shaq thrown in. Love it.

My kind of sale

Every dad will love the subject line that accompanied this email from JCPenney: "Shop our Love Dad Sale in store & get $10 off your $25 purchase!" Big, bold headlines, and love the mustache touch in the word "DAD".
