Email marketing: The Weekly Inbox volume 36

The Weekly Inbox is a collection of email marketing messages from across the retail, travel/hospitality and financial services industries that caught my eye for being clever, forward thinking, creative or just plain awesome.

Welcome back to the next installment of The Weekly Inbox.

Here are some emails that caught my eye this past week.

True blue

I received this email from Whole Foods Market last Friday with the straightforward subject line: "One Day Sale: Organic Blueberries - Grown in California." It caught my eye for the SL as well as the content which contains both a straightforward, prominent headline and a very inviting image.

Like the sound of this

I think you will agree with the sentiment above when you see the subject line that accompanied this email from Lenovo: "Your excuse to leave early." I liked the email for other reasons, like its big, bold headline — but man, doesn't leaving early sound nice?

Like the sound of this - Part II

I had the same thought when I read the subject line with this email, especially the end, from Williams-Sonoma: "1 Day Only! 50% Off All-Clad Grill/Griddle - Perfect for Dad." Yes, I am openly campaigning for this grill. Someone please tell my wife.

And speaking of dads

Love this email from The North Face which included the very direct subject line: "Looking for Father's Day gifts?" Not sure how action-packed I am, but I know plenty of dads out there who are indeed action-packed and will love to see this email (as will their wives).

Exclusively mine

Love this email from Ritz-Carlton Rewards with the subject line "Rewards Member Exclusive: A New Collection from Asprey." Love the color palette, which works incredibly well with the stunning image. Very well done.
