Email marketing: The Weekly Inbox volume 17

The Weekly Inbox is a collection of email marketing messages from across the retail, travel/hospitality and financial services industries that caught my eye for being clever, forward thinking, creative or just plain awesome.

Welcome back to the next installment of The Weekly Inbox.

Here’s some emails that caught my eye this past week.

It's not just a job, it's an adventure

REI invited me to find my next adventure with this email below. It included a side-scroll featuring images and info on all the cool places I could go for my next adventure. Very cool.

A friend indeed

Love the subject line that accompanied this email below from The Home Depot "Budget-Friendly Updates." Anytime you can speak to something that can save me money, I like it. I also liked this email for the rotating imagery that changed to feature each of the four themes in the email: traditional, rustic, modern and cottage. Great touch. Love the hashtag CTA, too.

Good things come in 3s

The email from Victoria's Secret, which included the subject line "3's company: bra + free panty & shipping" caught my eye because it was "airy" and didn't try to cram too much text into any given space. Bold headlines with the perfect corresponding imagery. Nicely done.

Not just ordinary but extra-ordinary

"Extraordinary Ways to Use Your Ritz-Carlton Rewards Points" That was the subject line of this email from Ritz-Carlton. Bold imagery with big headlines with just enough text to whet my appetite. Well done.

Right to the point

This just in but it's winter and it's cold. Ok, all sarcasm aside I love the fact that The North Face use the subject line of "Need a warmer jacket? Get insulated" for this email below. Chances are I may indeed need a warmer jacket, what with the arctic air that's been engulfing pretty much the entire country this winter. Right to the point. Love it.
